How do you transfer windows based files onto HP IPAQ Pocket PC?

I have an HP Ipaq pocket pc, and the running system is Windows Mobile 2003 Edition, Intel PXA270. I am trying to send over a program on my PC to my pocket PC, but once i try opening the files on my pocket pc, it says its not compatible. How can i get it to be compatible? is there a program or conversion i can do or make? any info will help. Thanks!

If you want to run a program on your IPAQ you will have to find one which is designed for it. Windows desktop applications dont work on windows mobile phones and one cant be converted to work on the other.
Now since we got that out of the way!
How to find applications that work with HP IPAQ with windows mobile 2003?
Just go to http://www.handango.com and browse around, download the one you need and transfer it to your phone.
